Delete your hite account
hite is published on Google Play by Dilip Khemani. This page explains how to delete your hite account and the data linked to it, with or without the app.
In the app
- Open hite and go to Settings, then Account.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
- If hite asks you to sign in again, do so. This proves it is really you.
hite deletes everything at once and returns to the welcome screen.
Without the app
If you no longer have hite on a phone, send an email to hiteapp@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my hite account".
- Send it from the email address of your hite account. If you signed in with Google, that is your Google account's address.
- If you cannot send from that address, tell us which address the account uses and we will email it to confirm the request.
- We delete the account within 7 days and reply to tell you it is done.
What is deleted
- Your account: email address, name, user id and sign-in method (in Firebase Authentication).
- Your backup: profile, settings, progress, minutes, notes and Ask AI conversations.
- Your Ask AI counters and any reports you sent about AI answers.
- Your tournament data, if you joined: your weekly scores, friend code, friend list (on both sides) and friend requests (in Google Cloud Firestore).
- With in-app deletion, also hite's data on that phone.
What is kept
Nothing that is linked to you. Two things are outside our control:
- Google keeps questions sent to its Gemini service for a limited time to detect misuse, under its own terms. We cannot delete them, and they are not linked to your hite account.
- If you deleted your account without the app, hite's data is still on any phone where it is installed until you uninstall hite or clear its storage.
